Patricia Ralph-Neely flailed in strong currents of the Des Moines River dam for some time. Several rescue attempts had failed before construction worker Jason Oglesbee rescued her while hanging from a crane. Ralph-Neely went over the dam in a boat with her husband, who did not survive the crash.
